Description

2001 Topps Finest Albert Pujols Rookie Autograph Card BGS 9.5 💎 Mint Cardinals. 2001 Topps Finest Albert Pujols Rookie Autograph Signature Card BGS 9.5 Gem Mint. This is an incredibly hard to find Gem Mint graded Albert Pujols Autographed Rookie Card. Why spend $5k+ on an unproven just drafted player whose value is more likely to drop than increase over the next 3 years (there’s 10 Jurickson Profar’s for every 1 Soto, J-Rod, or Tatis Jr. maybe more like 15 to 1) or you can get an autographed rookie card of the greatest hitter of the 21st century and who’s career accomplishments already place him in the top 15-20 greatest ever to play the game. Don’t forget that he was a gold glove first baseman in St. Louis so his game was far more than just offensive as it had been since 2014. Getting released by the Angels was the best thing that could have happened at the twilight of his career as he caught fire in a platoon role with the Dodgers that set him up for one of the most memorable farewell seasons in baseball history. He signed with his original team the Cardinals and eclipsed the 700 HR barrier with a 2 homer night in LA of all places against the Dodgers to finish his career with a probably never to be seen again 703 home runs making him just the 3rd legitimate player in that club. It’s a shame that those last 4 years with the Angels were so low on batting that it cost him his career.300+ batting average.
